ESGI’s Pre-Kindergarten and Transitional Kindergarten assessments include basic developmental skills and observational assessments. They have been developed to align to preschool foundational standards as well as CCSS for Kindergarten. These assessments are often used for Kinder Readiness testing.

1st/2nd Grade
1st and 2nd grade teachers are required to individualize instruction for all students. The assessments for these grade levels are standards-aligned and designed to meet the instructional needs of all students. Struggling Readers
ESGI offers two different reading intervention assessment series. Both assessment series are research-based and are very unique in their respective approaches to reading assessment and intervention.
Dr. Kathy Crane has carefully developed a series of 19 reading assessments over the course of a year based on the latest reading research. With her Reading Intervention Assessment Series, teachers can quickly target instruction based on the needs of each child. Dr. Crane is a veteran early childhood teacher with advanced degrees in early childhood and reading.
Donna Whyte is an educator, national consultant, and presenter, curriculum developer and Friend of ESGI. She shares her comprehensive series of reading intervention assessments which are directly aligned to her research-proven Reading Aptitude Continuum instructional program. ELL/SpED
Special Ed teachers use ESGI to differentiate instruction by using skill-level appropriate tests. ESGI’s copy test feature allows teachers to use any test found in the ESGI Test Explorer and modify to meet student needs. Educators can also easily create their own assessments as needed to align with IEPs and targeted interventions. ESGI has Functional Skills assessments which test skills such as tying shoes, washing dishes, and folding.
SEL
Social Emotional Learning tests by Donna Whyte allow educators to establish a baseline on the MTSS scale for students’ social-emotional skills. Donna Whyte is a nationally renowned educator, presenter, consultant, curriculum developer, and Friend of ESGI.
