The first year we decided to take ESGI on the road to the SDE I Teach K! conference in Vegas we had an awesome time, but we wondered, “Was it beginner’s luck?” In 2015 we decided to “double down” and go back for a second year. We met more teachers, gave away more prizes and did double our fun from the first conference. This year we are headed back to fabulous Las Vegas with even bigger and better prizes in the bags. We know it’ll be outstanding. The third time’s the charm, right?!
Hi, It’s Kaitlynn again! Hope everyone is having a good school year! There are so many things I have learned this year. One BIG thing we learn in school is how to be ACCEPTING and KIND to others.
My new friend, Jordis knows all about that. She is a kindergartener from California. Her mom tells me, “Jordis's K/1 combo class is across from the K/1 special needs class. They often team up with the kinders from that class and Jordis gets paired with one of them to read together. One of the moms of a girl in the special needs class told me today that Jordis was so sweet helping her daughter in art class. She was like a little teacher.”
ESGI is proud to announce our newest content partner and "Friend of ESGI," Crystal Radke! Crystal Radke has created 57 custom ELA and Math tests especially for Texas teachers. All tests are aligned to the TEKS and designed to make your life much easier.
Do you remember what it was like to start school for the first time? How you couldn’t wait to get that new lunch pail, the new clothes…and CRAYONS!
Each year, thousands of kindergarten students experience the “first-ness” of school. It’s exciting to watch the wonder of learning…it’s why we teach.
To inspire us all, we want to hear it from their little mouths as they experience the newness of school. We want to see it through their eyes!
ESGI will be featuring 4, 5 and 6 year olds who are just starting their school experience in our new series “Kaitlynn and Friends Go to School.” We will be asking them questions about school, and anything else they want to tell us! Their answers will be spontaneous and un-coached. It’s sure to make you smile!
Now it’s time to meet our hostess, Kaitlynn.
Emotional intelligence (EI) or (EQ) refers to the ability to perceive, control and evaluate emotions. Some researchers suggest that emotional intelligence can be learned and strengthened, while others claim it is an inborn characteristic.
